abstract The invention relates to a storage and mixing device for producing a bone cement dough from a monomer liquid (4) and a cement powder (5) as starting components of the bone cement, the storage and mixing device comprising a receptacle (2) in which a monomer liquid container (3) is arranged in which the monomer liquid container (3) contains the monomer liquid (4), and a cartridge (1) in which the cement powder (5) is contained, wherein in the receptacle (2) a delivery piston movable in the longitudinal direction of the receptacle (2) (6) is arranged, which is accessible from a rear side of the receptacle (2), wherein in the cartridge (1) in the longitudinal direction inside the cartridge (1) displaceable discharge piston (7) is arranged, wherein the front of the receptacle ( 2) is connectable or connectable to the rear side of the cartridge (1) such that an interior of the receptacle (2) is connected to an interior of the cartridge (1) for the monomer liquid (4) is permeable, wherein the connection is detachable, and wherein at the back of the receptacle (2, 202) a first fastening means (8) is provided and at the back of the cartridge (1) a second fastening means (9) is provided wherein the first attachment means (8) and the second attachment means (9) are the same or the same. The invention also relates to a method for producing a bone cement dough, in particular a paste-like polymethyl methacrylate bone cement dough, wherein the bone cement dough is produced from a cement powder (5) and a monomer liquid (4) with a storage and mixing device.
