Optimized monoclonal antibodies against tissue factor pathway inhibitor (tfpi) |
abstract |
Monoclonal antibodies to human tissue factor pathway inhibitor (TFPI) are provided. Further provided are the isolated nucleic acid molecules encoding the same. Pharmaceutical compositions comprising the anti-TFPI monoclonal antibodies and methods of treatment of genetic and acquired deficiencies or defects in coagulations such as hemophilia A and B are also described. Also described are methods for shortening the bleeding time by administering an anti-TFPI monoclonal antibody to a patient in need thereof. Methods for producing a monoclonal antibody that binds human TFPI according to the present invention are also provided. n In some embodiments, the monoclonal antibodies to TFPI provided have been optimized, for example to have increased affinity or increased functional activity. |
