The present invention relates to the use of at least one exopolysaccharide-protein complexobtained from a bacterium, preferably said bacterium is from a genus selected from Halomonas, Pseudoalteromonas, Vibrio, Salinivibrio, Marinomonas, Alteromonas, Pseudomonas, Halobacillus, and Bacillus, more preferably from genus Halomonas, still more preferably from Halomonas elongata sp., comprising: (i) a crude exopolysaccharide, and (ii) exopolysaccharide-associated proteins for the cosmetic treatment of the skin and/or the hair or as an antioxidant agent. |
