The methods include improving an immune response in a patient suffering from a condition resulting from or caused by a deficient immune system. A step in such a method includes positioning (102) a therapy delivery device on a neural target site of a maladaptive sympathetic reflex of the patient. An additional step includes activating (104) the therapy delivery device to deliver a therapy signal to the neural target site to improve (106) the patient's immune response.
