titleOfInvention | Maintenance method, image formation method, maintenance device, and image formation device |
abstract | The purpose of the present invention is to provide a maintenance method for a nozzle surface, whereby deviant-angle ejection of a wax-containing ink is unlikely to occur, even if image formation is carried out for an extended period. The present invention is a maintenance method for a nozzle surface provided with ejection openings of nozzles of an ejection head configured so as to eject an ink-jet ink, the ink containing a photopolymerizable compound, a photopolymerization initiator, and a wax that reversibly changes phase in response to temperature changes, and the ink being cured by irradiation with active light. The method includes a step for moving an ink-absorbing body at a speed of 10 to 1,000 mm/sec inclusive, while the ink-absorbing body is caused to be in contact with the nozzle surface at a contact pressure of 1 to 1,000 mg/mm2 inclusive. |
