abstract | The present invention provides a hole-transporting or hole-injecting material for an optoelectronic device, comprising a compound of the formula (I) and/or a compound of the formula (II)n n nwherein: nAr 1 and Ar 2 independently represent an optionally substituted arylene group, an optionally substituted heteroarylene group or an optionally substituted fluorenylene group; nR 1 and R 2 independently represent hydrogen or a group -NAr 6 Ar 7 , wherein Ar 6 and Ar 7 are independently an optionally substituted aryl group, an optionally substituted heteroaryl group, or an optionally substituted fluorenylene group, and wherein a direct covalent bond may be present between Ar 6 and Ar 7 such that a fused heterocyclic ring system is formed which contains Ar 6 , Ar 7 and the nitrogen atom to which they are attached; nL 1 and L 3 independently represent a bond, an optionally substituted arylene group, an optionally substituted fluorenylene group, or an optionally substituted heteroarylene group; nL 2 represents a bond, an optionally substituted arylene group, an optionally substituted heteroarylene group, an optionally substituted fluorenylene group, or a group - Ar 3 -N(Ar 4 )-Ar 5 -, wherein Ar 3 and Ar 5 represent optionally substituted arylene groups, and Ar 4 represents an optionally substituted aryl group; and nR 3 and R 4 independently represent hydrogen, an alkyl group or an aryl group. |
