titleOfInvention Microfluidic cartridge for detecting biomolecules
abstract The invention relates to a microfluidic cartridge (100) for detecting biomolecules in a sample solution, comprising a detection chamber (140) to which the sample solution can be supplied via a feed channel (124), and from which the investigated sample solution can be discharged via an outlet channel (126), and comprising a CMOS-based microchip (142), which comprises a sensor region (144) arranged in the detection chamber (140) and a contact region (146) separated from the detection chamber (140) in a fluid-tight manner, wherein the sensor region (144) of the microchip (142) contains an array of functionalised test sites (130) for electrochemical detection of biomolecules in the sample solution, and wherein each test site (130) of the sensor region (140) is equipped with its own sigma-delta modulator (132) for the analogue to digital conversion of electrical signals generated at the test site (130) with the electrochemical detection.
