Two-stage synthesis of n biaryl compounds |
abstract |
Method comprising the method steps: a) reacting a naphthol which has a hydrogen ortho to the OH group with a chiral primary amine in the presence of water and with the addition of sodium hydrogen sulfite to form a secondary naphthylamine derivative, b) electrochemical coupling of the secondary naphthylamine derivative from a) using a solvent and a conducting salt with a phenol which has a hydrogen ortho to the OH group, so that either a direct coupling of the phenyl ring of the phenol in ortho position to the OH group with the naphthyl ring system in ortho position to the amino group, or - The oxygen of the pheol is coupled to the naphthyl ring system in ortho position to the amino group. |
