abstract | The present invention relates to a method for preparing a leather from a raw hide, the process being free of chromium, permanganate and sulphide. This process comprises the following steps: - obtaining a raw hide; - toughening of the raw skin; - depilage-peeling skin soaked by enzymatic treatment in the absence of sulfide; - fleshing of the skin resulting from the depilage-pelanage; - picklage of the skin; obtaining a leather by tanning the skin resulting from pickling in the absence of chromium; the skin being a skin of an animal selected from the group consisting of crocodilians, snakes and lizards.n n n The present invention also relates to the leather crust obtainable by this method and its use in the field of leather goods or watchmaking. |
