titleOfInvention | Insulating material |
abstract | The invention relates to a mineral insulating material and a process for its production, comprising the steps of (i) providing an aqueous mixture comprising water, SiO 2 , hydrated lime, cement, and a hardening accelerator, (ii) providing a foam by introducing air into it a mixture comprising water and a surfactant, (iii) mixing the foam into the aqueous mixture to obtain a raw mixture, (iv) introducing the raw mixture into a mold, and leaving the raw mixture for at least 5 hours, preferably for at least 10 hours and particularly preferably for at least 15 hours, in the mold to obtain a raw material, (v) steam-curing the raw material obtained in step (iv) in an autoclave, optionally after cutting into parts, and (vi) drying the steam-cured raw material. |
