The invention relates to a method for assessing the risk of a patient of developing arthrofibrosis, for example after implantation of a prosthesis, using a RASAL1 and/or a RAS biomarker. The invention further relates to a biomarker with the aid of which it can assessed whether a patient will develop arthrofibrosis. Another embodiment of the invention relates to a method for treating arthrofibrosis and to a prevention method. |
