abstract The present invention relates to a method based on loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) designed to amplify specifically sequences of Legionella's 16S ribosomal RNA (rRNA) gene using a set of specially designed LAMP primers, to a detection reagent for specifically detecting sequences of Legionella's 16S rRNA gene, to a set of LAMP primers to amplify specific regions of Legionella's 16S rRNA gene, to a device designed for dosing the reagents and preparing the sample for analysis, to a support designed to house the device and to house: magnetic means, heating means, and optionally a UV-source, and to a system for dosing and preparing the sample for analysis.
