abstract The device for the treatment of varicosis comprises a catheter (1) which can be introduced into a vein to be treated. At the proximal end (1a) of the catheter, a balloon (2) is arranged with at least one cutting element (3) for cutting at least part of the venous inner wall. The catheter has side openings (7a-7c) through which a sclerosant can be introduced into the vein.
