abstract |
The invention relates to biomarkers for individual risk assessment of the development of post-infarction heart failure, the method of determining the markers in samples of biological material collected from a patient. Further, the invention relates to a use of the biomarkers in the diagnosis (expression level of the gene) that correlate with the developing post-infarction heart failure, and enable prevention of heart disease based on a genetic marker and a method for predicting the risk of developing a heart failure for post-infarction patients. Also a method for optimizing the treatment of cardiac patients with the use of the means of the invention is disclosed. |
