abstract The present invention discloses ²-hinokitiol derivatives and application thereof in preparation of animal antibacterial agents and antibacterial growth promoters used in feed. ²-hinokitiol derivatives, having a structural formula as shown in formula (I): wherein, R is n-propyl, n-pentyl, benzyl, sec-butyl, ethyl, n-butyl, p-chlorobenzyl, p-fluorobenzyl, n-octyl, 1-fluoropropyl or n-tetradecyl. The compounds of the present invention as shown in formula I show low toxicity or non-toxicity to poultry, is safer and has stronger growth promotion properties in comparison with all patented compounds at present, and therefore is more suitable to be used as growth promoters in feed. The present invention has a very good application prospect in cultivation industry.
