titleOfInvention A complex mineral fertilizer comprising the rhizobium leguminosarum microorganism, production process and uses thereof
abstract This proposal propounds the development of granulated complex mineral fertilizers, coated with specific strains of the Rhizobium leguminosarum specie, for cereal crops. Carob gum is added, as an enhancer of the EPS native to the rhizobia, which renders them resistant to the unfavourable conditions of desiccation and high salinity caused by the granule of fertilizer. The pure culture of the Rhizobium leguminosarum strains in a medium, together with a blend of polysaccharides which have an enhancing effect on the production of exopolysaccharides by the rhizobia, for example carob gum or other blends having the same effect, is sprayed directly on the granules of fertilizer, followed by their subsequent air-drying.
