abstract | The present invention aims to provide an antithrombogenic material in which an antithrombogenic compound other than heparin or heparin derivatives is immobilized on a base material to prevent elution of the compound having antithrombogenicity from the base material, which antithrombogenic material therefore maintains high antithrombogenicity for a long period. The present invention provides an antithrombogenic material including: a coating material containing a skeletal structure composed of a polymer, a skeletal structure composed of 4-(aminomethyl)benzenecarboxyimidamide or benzene amidine, and a skeletal structure composed of methoxybenzenesulfonic acid amide; and a base material whose surface is coated with the coating material; wherein the coating material is covalently bound to the base material, and the peak abundance ratio of the carbonyl-derived component in the total component of the Cls peak as measured by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy on the surface is not less than 1.0 atomic percent. |
