titleOfInvention | Liquid developer |
abstract | A liquid developer containing a dispersion of toner particles containing a polyester resin P having an acid value of 3 mgKOH/g or more and 80 mgKOH/g or less and a pigment in an insulating liquid in the presence of a dispersant, wherein the dispersant contains a copolymer C obtained by polymerizing monomers containing a monomer having a basic functional group and a monomer having a silicone chain, wherein the monomer having a silicone chain has a weight-average molecular weight of 1,000 or more and 10,000 or less, and the copolymer C has a weight-average molecular weight of 10,000 or more and 80,000 or less, and wherein a mass ratio of the monomer having a basic functional group to the monomer having a silicone chain is 3/97 or more and 50/50 or less, and a method for producing the same. The liquid developer of the present invention can be suitably used in development of latent images formed in, for example, an electrophotographic method, an electrostatic recording method, an electrostatic printing method, or the like. |
