abstract |
Provided are an element separating method and an element separation system by which the amount of waste liquid can be reduced while maintaining the performance of separation of a target element. The element separating method of the present invention includes: (1) a first step 2 of adjusting the oxidation-reduction potential of a solution containing the target element to a potential at which the polarity of only a chemical species containing the target element can be converted; and (2) a second step 3 of introducing the oxidation-reduction potential-adjusted solution to an ion absorption body, and causing only either one of the polarity-converted chemical species containing the target element and a chemical species of an impurity element in the solution to be selectively adsorbed on the ion absorption body, the target element being separated from the solution. |
