A tissue clipping apparatus comprising a clip, a capsule, wherein a proximal end of the clip is received within the capsule and the clip includes at least one locking member biased to engage at least one first locking structure of the capsule to lock the clip in the capsule in a closed configuration, a tension member releasably coupled to the clip, and a constraint member coupled to the tension member and releasably coupled to the clip, wherein when coupled to the clip, the constraint member maintains the at least one locking member of the clip out of engagement with the at least one first locking structure of the capsule, and wherein, when the constraint member is moved to a release position, the at least one locking member is released to engage the at least one first locking structure, characterized in that the apparatus further includes a cross bar that is coupled to the tension member. |
