titleOfInvention Connecting element and connecting assembly
abstract The invention relates to a connecting element for connecting two hollow bodies through which a fluid can flow, comprising a first connecting part (2), which can be brought into fluid-tight flow connection with a first of the hollow bodies through which a fluid can flow, a sealing element (3), which is arranged at least partially in an inner region of the first connecting part (2), and a securing element (4), which is arranged on an outer face of the first connecting part. According to the invention, the securing element (4) can be transferred from an unsecured position to a secured position, wherein the securing element (4) acts on the sealing element (3) in the secured position in such a way that an internal diameter (d) of the sealing element (3) is smaller than when the securing element (4) is in the unsecured position, such that a fluid-tight connection between the inner region of the first connecting part (2) and an inner region of a second connecting part (13) results when the second connecting part (13) is accommodated in the inner region of the first connecting part (2). The connecting element (1) is intended and designed in particular to accommodate a female Luer lock connection in the inner region of the connecting element, such that a seal over the outside of the female Luer lock connection is realised in the secured position when the female Luer lock connection is accommodated in the inner region of the first connecting part (2). The invention further relates to a connecting assembly in which such a connecting element is used.
