abstract | The invention refers to an in vitro method to monitor the response and resistance to a treatment of a patient suffering from an EGFR expressing tumor, with an anti-cancer agent against an anti-EGFR expressing tumor, the method comprising: n- determining the level of pEGFR in a body fluid sample taken from a patient suffering from an EGFR expressing tumor, and n- comparing said level with a reference value, the reference value being the level of pEGFR in a sample taken from the same patient before starting said treatment, and wherein the increase in said level is indicative of response to the treatment, and wherein the decrease in said level is indicative of the appearance of resistance to the treatment, n nand a kit. |
