abstract An ophthalmoscopy advancing unit for a surgical microscope is positioned between the front lens (1b) of the surgical microscope and a patient's eye and has an indirect lens (8a) for generating a real image (Z) of the ocular fundus and fitting optics (9). The fitting optics is arranged between the front lens (1b) and the indirect lens (8a) and serves to adapt the path of the light from the real image (Z) to the front lens (1b). For the adjustment of the light path, a mirror arrangement (91, 92, 93, 94) is used.
