abstract Process for the preparation of a breathable film based on polyvinyl chloride (PVC), comprising the steps:n1. providing a pasty mass comprising a first fraction of PVC and a second fraction of a foreign substance and a third fraction of auxiliaries and additives, which are mixed together to form the pasty mass,n2. applying the pasty mass to a base,n3. drying and gelling the pasty mass applied to the backing under heat to the film, forming pores extending from one to the other surface of the film which impart breathability to the film.
