Process for preparing particles which have a hydrophilic core coated with a hydrophobic polymeric layer |
abstract |
This process for preparing particles which have a hydrophilic core coated with a hydrophobic polymeric layer comprises the following steps: - preparation of an aqueous phase comprising at least one hydrophilic optical brightener or colouring compound; - preparation of an organic phase comprising at least one hydrophobic polymer; - formation of a water-in-oil inverse emulsion by addition of the aqueous phase to the organic phase; - formation of the particles by thermal quenching of the emulsion; - isolation of the resulting particles. |
