The invention relates to a gearbox with a predetermined number (N) of transmission ratio stages, which are subdivided into two groups (G1, G2) of transmission ratio stages, wherein actuating means and an actuator, by means of which the transmission ratio stages of the respective group can be selected and engaged, are associated with each group of transmission ratio stages, a clutch is additionally associated with each group of transmission ratio stages in order to connect the transmission ratio stage to a drive train, and the clutch associated with the respective group is actuated with the actuating means and the actuator associated with the group in order to select and engage the transmission ratio stage. |
