The present invention is directed to methods for predicting a pregnant woman's risk of carrying a fetus with Down syndrome (Trisomy 21) or Trisomy 18. The methods are based on measuring one or more metabolites obtained from a pregnant woman's bodily fluid, such as blood or urine, and found to be predictive of Trisomy 21 or Trisomy 18. |
