abstract | The invention relates to a method for producing a vascular prosthesis, in which method a vascular prosthesis with an inner surface and outer surface and a wall is sprayed with a liquid containing at least one sealing material, characterized in that the liquid is sprayed onto the outer surface of the prosthesis at a pressure of 0.01 to 1.5 bar in order to generate a sealing impregnation in the prosthesis wall, and/or is sprayed onto the outer surface of the prosthesis at a pressure of 5.0 to 50 bar in order to generate a sealing coating on the outer surface of the prosthesis. The invention further relates to a vascular prosthesis produced or producible by the above method. The invention moreover relates to a vascular prosthesis with an impregnation comprising at least one sealing material in the prosthesis wall and/or with a coating comprising at least one sealing material on the outer surface of the prosthesis, wherein the prosthesis, when subjected to a force of 1 N acting perpendicularly with respect to the outer surface of the prosthesis, is deformed in such a way that the external diameter of the prosthesis decreases, in the direction of the acting force, by 60 to 100% in relation to the original external diameter. |
