An object of the present invention is to provide an organic electroluminescent element having a low driving voltage, a high white light luminescence efficiency, and an excellent reproducibility. The organic electroluminescent element of the invention comprises a cathode, an anode, and a light emitting layer between the cathode and the anode, wherein the light emitting layer comprises, in the order from the side of the anode: a layer containing an charge transport material and a phosphorescent-light emitting material of a low-molecular compound, in which the layer is formed by a wet film forming method; and a layer containing an charge transport material and a fluorescent-light emitting material of a low-molecular compound, in which the layer is formed by a vacuum deposition method, wherein the organic electroluminescent element has an emission spectrum having a maximum emission wavelength in a 440 to 500 nm region, a 510 to 550 nm region and a 580 to 630 nm region. |
