abstract |
The present invention refers to a method of enhancing photosynthesis of a photosynthetic eukaryote by transforming a cell of the photosynthetic eukaryote or the photosynthetic eukaryote with a polynucleotide encoding a CURT1 polypeptide or by increasing the expression of an endogenous CURT1 polynucleotide. The present invention also relates to an organism transformed with a polynucleotide encoding a CURT1 polypeptide or having an increased expression of an endogenous CURS1 polynucleotide. Such an organism may be a photosynthetic eukaryote or a cyanobacterium. |
