abstract |
The invention relates to a method for producing particles with a highly porous surface coating, having the following method steps in the specified sequence: i) providing a nano-particulate or micro-particulate material or providing a mixture of nano-particulate and micro-particulate materials and coating the surface(s) with compounds which contain functional groups; ii) introducing a spacer group by means of a reaction with the functional groups from step i); iii) if necessary, activating the surface(s) using functional groups which coordinate with or form a dative/coordinate bond with a metal ion by means of an electron donor function if the spacer group in step ii) does not already contain such a group; iv) contacting the particles with a solution of a metal cation; v) carrying out a washing step to remove unbound metal ions; vi) bringing the particles into contact with a solution of an organic ligand molecule with an electron donor function; vii) carrying out a washing step to remove unbound ligand molecules; and viii) repeating the steps iv) - vii) until a coating of the desired thickness is achieved on the particle surface. |
