Novel recombinant bcg vaccine |
abstract |
Provided is a vaccine against tuberculosis in which the active ingredient is a recombinant BCG bacterium capable of promoting cytokine production. Preparing recombinant BCG bacterium (rBCG-SOCS1dn) incorporating a vector for expressing the SOCS1 dominant negative variant (a mutation of 1 amino acid), which is an antagonist that acts antagonistically against SOCS1 function, provides a recombinant BCG bacterium capable of promoting cytokine production. This recombinant BCG bacterium secretes the SOCS1 dominant negative variant protein extracellularly. |
