A description is given of a coated polymer film which can be produced by coating a polymer film with an aqueous composition containing (A) a polymer which is obtained by radical polymerization and consists, up to 10 to 80 percent by weight, of a compound selected from ethylenically unsaturated acid anhydrides and ethylenically unsaturated dicarboxylic acids of which the dicarboxylic acid groups can form an anhydride group, and (B) an alkanolamine with at least two hydroxyl groups. The coating imparts an oxygen barrier to the polymer film and can be used, in particular, for producing packaging. |
