The invention relates to the field of hydrophobic photoaffinity marking by means of probes that are multifunctional lipid compounds. Said compounds include at least one chromophore group and two lipid chains, one of which includes a photoreactive group. Said compounds can be used for the study and identification of hydrophobic regions or domains within proteins, particularly within viruses. |
