abstract The present invention provides for a process to assess the level of reversible inhibition of an enzyme by an inhibitor, in particular in the field of assessment the effectiveness of a medical treatment. In a particularly preferred embodiment the effectiveness of angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor (ACEi) therapy is disclosed. The invention also relates to uses of enzyme substrates and kits for the assessment of inhibition level as well as an apparatus designed for use in a process of the present invention.
