abstract | There is provided a seal member which is used in a seal part associated with sliding, comprising a molded rubber article produced by vulcanizing a rubber composition comprising, a hydrogenated nitrile rubber (A), carbon black (B), and carbon black (C) and/or carbon fiber (D), wherein carbon black (B) has a DBP oil absorption of 250 to 450 mL/100 g, carbon black (C) has a DBP oil absorption of 200 mL/100 g or less, and carbon fiber (D) has an average fiber length of 0.05 to 2 mm and an average fiber diameter of 5 to 30 µm; and wherein, based on 100 parts by mass of the hydrogenated nitrile rubber (A), the amount of carbon black (B) is 5 to 15 parts by mass, the total amount of carbon black (C) and/or carbon fiber (D) is 3 to 35 parts by mass, and the total content of the fillers is 40 parts by mass or less. The seal member thus provided has proper hardness and excellent moldability and wear resistance. |
