titleOfInvention Process intensification of a biogas plant by addition of c3 - c6 carboxylic acids
abstract The invention relates to a process for process intensification of a biogas plant by increasing the space velocity (BRmax, old [kgoTS/(m3*d]), wherein adaptation-triggering substrates (A.S.) for controlled replication of acetogenic microorganisms are metered in, these causing the degradation of inhibiting carboxylic acids (C3-C6) and thus initiating early adaptation of the biocoenosis to these substrates, before a fermenter is operated in a high space velocity range (BRmax, new) in which the formation of these acids can increase significantly.
