The invention relates to compounds of the general formula (I): (Ba 1-a-b Sr a EU b ) 2+x (Lu 1-c-d Y c Gd d ) 2-x (PO 4 ) 2+x (SiO 4 ) 1-x , where b is a value in the range 0<b≤0.2, a, c, d are each, independently of one another, a value in the range from 0 to 1, x is a value in the range from 0 to 0.8, and a process for preparing these luminophores and their use as conversion luminophores or in luminous materials. |
