abstract | The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of a hydroxy-amino polymer comprising the steps: a) reacting an H-functional starter compound bearing at least one Zerewitinoff-active H atom with an unsaturated cyclic carboxylic anhydride to give a carboxyl-bearing prepolymer, b) reacting the carboxyl group-bearing prepolymer with at least one epoxide compound to obtain a hydroxyl group-bearing prepolymer, c) addition of a primary amine and / or of ammonia to the double bond of the hydroxyl group-bearing prepolymer obtained according to step b) to obtain the hydroxy-amino polymer, wherein the molar ratio between the carboxylic acid anhydride and the number of Zerewitinoff active H atoms of the H-functional starter compound is chosen so that as far as possible all Zerewitinoff active H atoms of the H-functional starter compound are reacted. The invention further relates to a hydroxy-aminopolymer obtainable by the aforesaid process, wherein the ratio between the molar amount of the unsaturated cyclic carboxylic acid anhydride and the number of Zerewitinoff-active H atoms of the H-functional starter compound is at least about 0.9: 1 , as well as the use of this hydroxy-amino polymer for the production of a polyurethane-urea polymer. |
