abstract |
Method for making a solar module (1) comprising in order of position from the front, i.e. the light-receiving side, to the back: n(a) a top part (40) comprising a top layer (11) and a solar cell layer (12) containing at least one encapsulant (121) and solar cells (122) on an aluminium-containing carrier (124) and n(b) a bottom part (41) comprising a multi-layer backsheet (13) contacting at least the aluminium containing carrier (124) of the solar cell layer (12), said method comprising ni) providing a multi-layered backsheet (13) having at least one bonding layer (14) forming the top surface (131) and at least one layer forming the rear surface (111) opposite to the top surface (131) of the backsheet (13) and wherein the bonding layer (14) comprises a polyolefin sheet (114) containing as its major component a cross-linked polymer selected from polyethene homo polymers, polypropene homopolymers, polyethene copolymers comprising repeating units derived from ethene and one or more α-olefinic hydrocarbons, polypropene copolymers comprising repeating units derived from propene and one or more α-olefinic hydrocarbons and combinations thereof; nii) laminating the backsheet with its bonding layer (14) to the carrier (124) of the solar cells (222) of the solar cell layer (12). n n n Also provided are solar modules containing the backsheets described above and support structures containing the solar modules described above |
