abstract |
The present invention relates to the field of diagnostics. In particular, it relates to a method for diagnosing alveolar damage in a subject suffering from pulmonary hypertension, or not, said method comprising determining the amount of a surfactant protein-B peptide (SP-B peptide) in a sample of said subject, and comparing said amount to a reference amount whereby it is diagnosed whether the said subject has alveolar damage, or not. Further contemplated is a device or kit for carrying out the method of the invention. |
