titleOfInvention | Guided munition protected by an aerodynamic cap |
abstract | The invention relates to guided munitions intended to destroy a target after at least a flight phase followed by a target approach phase. The munition comprises a munition body (10) of cylindrical shape with longitudinal axis ZZ' having, at a front end Eav of the munition which is the end intended to be directed towards the target, a front body (14) comprising an optic (26) of a device that guides said munition onto the target, a cap (20) for protecting the optic, secured to the munition body (10), characterized in that the protective cap (20) comprises at least one recess (60, 120) containing a pyrotechnic device (130, 132, 183, 184) intended to destroy said protective cap (20) to free the optic and make the munition guidance device operational during the target approach phase. Application: steered or guided munitions such as those of the rocket or projectile type, or missiles. |
