titleOfInvention |
A pharmaceutical composition comprising aspirin and bisoprolol |
abstract |
A single dose pharmaceutical capsule contains a tablet of aspirin and granules of bisoprolol fumarate surrounding the tablet. The aspirin tablet is coated with a moisture barrier layer to prevent chemical interaction between the aspirin and the bisoprolol fumarate. The barrier layer also protects the aspirin core against the ingress of moisture whilst not hindering the release of aspirin in biological fluids. The aspirin is released from the capsule in vivo to provide a peak concentration in advance of a peak concentration of bisoprolol. |
