abstract |
A C/C composite material and a method of manufacturing the same are provided that can improve the thermal conductivity in a stacking direction at room temperature while at the same time improving the flexural strength and the interlaminar shear strength. A C/C composite material includes a laminated material having two or more layered materials (1) laminated on one another, each of the layered materials (1) having a felt (10) and carbon fiber unidirectional cloths (11), (12), and contains a matrix component made of a vapor-phase pyrolytic carbon inside the laminated material. The extending direction of the carbon fibers in the carbon fiber unidirectional cloth (11) is arranged to be at a right angle to the extending direction of the carbon fibers in the carbon fiber unidirectional cloth (12), and the carbon fibers of the felt (10) are disposed in the stacking direction of laminated material by needle punching. |
