Device for negative pressure wound therapy |
abstract |
The invention relates to a device for negative pressure wound therapy, comprising a cover material (2) for the air-tight sealing of the wound and the wound surroundings (1); means (7) suitable for producing negative pressure in the wound region, in particular for functionally connecting the wound region to a negative pressure source located outside of the cover material, so that a negative pressure can be produced in the wound region and liquids can be suctioned off from the wound region; and a wound dressing (3), wherein the wound dressing comprises an open-cell foam on the basis of a cross-linked polyorganosiloxane. The invention further relates to the use of an open-cell foam on the basis of a cross-linked polyorganosiloxane for use in negative pressure wound therapy, in particular in patients having a BMI of less than 18. |
