According to the present invention, there are provided an exhaust gas purifying filter, in which, while suppressing an increase in pressure loss, when regenerating the exhaust gas purifying filter ,a sudden temperature increase of the exhaust gas purifying filter is prevented by suppressing runaway due to an initial combustion to prevent damage, combustion time of the particulate matter which is deposited on the partitions can be shortened, the interval of the combustion cycle is lengthened with increasing collection amount of the particulate matter, the use amount of the fuel needed for the increase and maintenance of the exhaust gas temperature even in a single combustion time is decreased, and a fuel consumption is improved. The exhaust gas purifying filter of the present invention includes an inflow surface into which exhaust gas including particulate matter (30) flows, an exhaust surface from which purified gas is exhausted, and a filter substrate (11) which is constructed of a porous body, the filter substrate (11) includes a porous partition (14) and a gas passage (12) which is enclosed by the partition (14), a porous film (13) which includes silicon carbide is provided on a surface of the partition (14), and nan average pore diameter of the porous film (13) is more than 0.5 µm and 3 µm or less. |
