The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of polyether carbonate polyols having primary hydroxyl end groups comprising the steps of reacting an active hydrogen-containing initiator compound with an epoxide and carbon dioxide under double metal cyanide catalysis, reacting the resulting product with a cyclic carboxylic acid anhydride and the reaction thereof Product with ethylene oxide in the presence of a catalyst comprising at least one nitrogen atom per molecule, excluding non-cyclic, identically substituted tertiary amines. The invention further relates to polyethercarbonate polyols obtainable by this process, to compositions comprising these polyethercarbonate polyols and to polyurethane polymers based on these polyethercarbonate polyols. |
