titleOfInvention Test element for analyzing a body fluid
abstract The invention relates to a test element (3) for producing a puncture wound in a body part, for obtaining a body fluid specimen from the body part and for analyzing, by way of a reagent system, the reaction of which has an analyte present in the body fluid leading to a change of a measured value, said change being characteristic for the desired analytical result and able to be optically measured on the test element (3), which comprises a puncturing element (4) and a test field (5). The puncturing element (4) comprises a capillary structure (13) and a sharp tip (19) at one end of the puncturing element (4) for producing a wound in the body part. The capillary structure (13) extends from the sharp tip (19) to the test field (5), and is fluidly connected to the sharp tip (19) such that after the skin is punctured by the sharp tip (19) of the puncturing element (4), body fluid penetrates the capillary structure (13), and that the test field (5) contains at least part of the reagent system, and that the test field (3) is arranged adjacent to a segment of the capillary structure (13) of the puncturing element (4) such that the body fluid having penetrated the capillary structure (13), makes contact with a fluid inlet side (104) of the test field (5). The test field (5) comprises a transparent base layer (45, 100) and a test layer (101) applied to the base layer (45, 100) by a coating process, wherein the side of the base layer (45, 100) facing away from the test field (5) forms the fluid inlet side (104) thereof, which faces the capillary structure (13).
