A polysiloxane comprising from 5 to 250 -SiO- units and terminal groups of the general formula n n -E-CH 2 CH 2 -N(R)-Q 4 - Si (R 6 ) n Y 3-n n nwherein E represents -O-C(=O)- or -NH-C(=O)-, R represents independently per unit H, an alkyl group or a group Q5-Si(R6)nY3-n. nwherein each Y independently represents a hydrolysable group and R6 represents an alkyl group or an aryl group and n is 0 or 1, and Q4 and Q5 represent identical of different hydrocarbon linking groups containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms which may or may not be interrupted by sulphur, nitrogen and/or oxygen atoms. Also provided are methods of making the polysiloxane, coating compositions comprising the siloxane, methods of coating and coated articles. |
