| abstract |
The invention relates to a medical handheld device having a test band unit (14) that can be placed in a device housing (26), comprising a test band (16) that can be wound up by means of a spool (22) and having a plurality of analytic test elements (18), and a band drive (12) comprising an electric motor (34) and a gearbox (36) that can be coupled to the test band unit (14) for segmentally feeding out the test band (16), so that the test elements (18) can be successively provided for sample application. According to the invention, the rotary axis of the electric motor (34) is disposed in plane extending perpendicular to the rotary axis of the spool (22), and the gearbox (36) comprises an angle drive (58) for diverting the axis. |
